❤ÜBER Samantabhadra
Samantabhadra (wörtlich „universal würdig“, „alles Gute“) ist ein großer Bodhisattva im Buddhismus, der mit Praxis und Meditation in Verbindung gebracht wird. Zusammen mit Shakyamuni Buddha und dem Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī bildet er die Shakyamuni-Triade im Mahayana-Buddhismus.

Er ist der Schutzpatron des Lotos-Sutra und legte laut Avatamsaka-Sutra die zehn großen Gelübde ab, die die Grundlage eines Bodhisattvas bilden. Im chinesischen Buddhismus ist Samantabhadra als Pǔxián bekannt und wird mit Handeln in Verbindung gebracht, während Mañjuśrī mit Prajñā (transzendente Weisheit) in Verbindung gebracht wird. In Japan ist dieser Bodhisattva als Fugen bekannt und wird im Tendai- und Shingon-Buddhismus oft verehrt.

In der Nyingma-Schule des tibetischen Buddhismus ist Samantabhadra auch der Name des Adi-Buddha, der oft in unteilbarer Einheit (yab-yum) mit seiner Gefährtin Samantabhadrī dargestellt wird. In zorniger Form ist er einer der acht Herukas des Nyingma Mahayoga und er ist als Vajramrtra bekannt. Aber dieser Samantabhadra-Buddha und Samantabhadra-Bodhisattva sind nicht dasselbe.
