Ein „Gau“ oder „Ghau“ ist ein Amulettbehälter oder Gebetskasten im tibetischen Buddhismus, der normalerweise aus Metall wie Silber, Messing, Kupfer oder Gold besteht und, wenn er klein genug ist, als Schmuck getragen werden kann.
