Dieser große Gau-Schrein wurde von tibetischen Kunsthandwerkern aus der Gemeinde Hepo im Kreis Baiyu handgefertigt. Sie brauchten einen Monat, um ihn vor etwa 6 Jahren mit Hämmern von Hand herzustellen.

Jedes exquisite Muster ist sorgfältig von Hand geschnitzt und mit der Technik der Goldeinlage verziert, wobei reines Silber auf das rote Kupfermaterial eingelegt und das reine Silbermaterial vergoldet ist. Diese Technik ist äußerst kompliziert und erfordert außergewöhnliches Können und Geduld.

Das Thema ist Astamangala und zeigt 10 Fabelwesen, die eine Wiese mit silbernem Muster durchqueren. In der Mitte befindet sich ein Schrein auf einer Gebetsmühle, alles sorgfältig von Hand geschnitzt.

Der Innenraum der Box ist recht geräumig und bietet Platz für eine 12 x 8 cm große Buddha-Statue. Außerdem bietet sie zusätzlichen Platz für die Aufbewahrung heiliger Gegenstände.
