❤ ÜBER VAJRAPANI
Vajrapani (Sanskrit: „Vajra in [seiner] Hand“) ist einer der am frühesten auftretenden Bodhisattvas im Mahayana-Buddhismus. Er ist der Beschützer und Führer von Gautama Buddha und stieg auf, um die Macht des Buddha zu symbolisieren.

Vajrapāni ist in der buddhistischen Ikonographie ausführlich als eine der ersten drei Schutzgottheiten oder Bodhisattvas vertreten, die den Buddha umgeben. Jeder von ihnen symbolisiert eine der Tugenden des Buddha: Manjushri manifestiert die gesamte Weisheit des Buddha, Avalokiteśvara manifestiert das immense Mitgefühl des Buddha und Vajrapāni beschützt Buddha und manifestiert die gesamte Kraft des Buddha sowie die Kraft aller fünf Tathāgatas (Buddhaschaft im Rang eines Buddha).
