About the Vajra (Dorje)
The word Vajra is Sanskrit for both "thunderbolt" and "diamond" — symbolizing absolute indestructibility, irresistible force, and the brilliant, unshakeable state of enlightenment. In Tibetan Buddhism, it is known as the Dorje.

The five-pronged vajra is the most widely used and essential form in tantric Buddhist practice. It is traditionally employed during empowerments and sacred initiations. In ceremonial settings, a pair is often required: one placed upon the mandala (tied with a five-colored sacred cord) and another held by the Vajra Master (Lama) to invoke blessings and offer ultimate protection.

Deep Symbolism & Sacred Anatomy
Every curve and element of this hand-forged Dorje carries profound spiritual meaning:

The Central Sphere: Represents Shunyata (Emptiness) — the primordial, unified nature of the universe and the ultimate reality from which all things arise.

The Two Eight-Petaled Lotus Flowers: Blooming from the center, one flower represents the phenomenal world (Samsara), while the other represents the noumenal world (Nirvana), showing their ultimate non-dual harmony.

The Makara Prongs: Surrounding the lotus are the beautifully detailed Makaras (mythological aquatic creatures), representing the union of opposites and the harmonization of transcendent qualities.

The Five Prongs: The central prong surrounded by four outer prongs symbolizes the transformation of the five "mental poisons" (ignorance, attachment, aversion, pride, and jealousy) into the Five Wisdoms of the Buddha.
