Antique Tibetan Buddhist Prayer Bead Bracelet (Mala Wrist Rosary)

This rare hand-held wrist mala was acquired from Kathok Monastery in the Kham region of Tibet and is approximately 40-60 years old.

Originally part of a longer necklace mala (not a full 108-bead strand,so I made three 28 beads handhold malas), it has been worn smooth over decades of devout chanting, developing a rich, jade-like patina and a deep, lustrous texture.

Bracelet perimeter about 26cm / 10 inches.
The bracelet features:
28 aged lotus seed beads (dark brown,blessed by lama)
1 Pumpkin-shaped nanhong agate main bead
2 round nanhong agate spacer beads
1 pair of silver vajra bell bead counters (traditional Tibetan craftsmanship)
1 conch shell guru bead
1 skull shape nanhong agate pendant
6 silver spacer beads
2 turquoise spacer beads
