Deep Spiritual Meaning of the Kila (Phurba)
The Kila, or Phurba, is a profound ritual dagger central to Indo-Tibetan Buddhism and Bon traditions. It is not a weapon, but a symbolic implement representing the piercing wisdom that destroys ignorance and anchors compassion firmly into the world.
This Phurba serves as a powerful aid to:
- Awaken the indestructible, diamond-like nature of mind (Vajra).
- Subdue inner and outer obstacles, negative forces, and mental afflictions.
- Protect the spiritual practitioner and their sacred space.
- Enhance ritual efficacy and meditative concentration.
"The Phurba is the nail of compassion, fixing the luminous nature of reality in the heart of confusion."

This is my second purchase of this phurba. I gave my first one away and luckily found another on this website. This seems like another of GandhanraART's unique offerings. I've never seen this anywhere else but the GandhanraART stores. It is has a laser focus quality. I want to learn more about the numbers imbedded in this design. Lots shapes, and angles, making interesting numerical vibrations (3 and ). I am tempted to buy another one, :) This is another of my daily supports. This one is one of my favorite phurbas for its simple but spiritually complex design.
Bold and delicately carved. The subtle meaning implied by the forms of the handle and the blade are clearly felt. This very powerful. It is beautiful, yet strong. My partner liked it so I gave it to her and bought another for myself. Gandhanra has benefited me and my partner greatly with this tool.
Absolutely beautiful, hand made phurba perfectly sized for daily carry. This shop offers unique items not found anywhere else. Good service. Will buy from this shop again.
