Colecție: Butter Lamp/ Offering Bowl

Features of Butter Lamp/ Offering Bowl

Gandhanra Butter Lamps and Water Offering Bowls are traditional Tibetan Buddhist altar implements used in temples and monasteries throughout the Himalayas for daily offering practice. Our collection includes old Silver Water Offering Bowl sets, Buddhist Butter Lamp and Yonchap Bowl sets, and small offering bowl sets in sizes from 1.89" to 2.4". Each piece is crafted from Silver, Brass, or Copper using traditional Tibetan metalworking techniques.

How to Use Butter Lamp/ Offering Bowl

Fill Water Offering Bowls with clean water each morning as a traditional sevenfold offering practice — arrange seven bowls in a row on your altar, filling each from left to right. Empty and invert the bowls each evening before sleep. For Butter Lamps, fill with clarified butter or vegetable oil and light the wick as an offering of light, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance. As stated in the Cakrasaṃvara Tantra: "Offer hundreds of lights for sublime realization."
