This unique Tibetan melong (mirror) amulet was personally collected from the sacred Kathok Monastery in Tibet and dates back approximately 30 years. Crafted from traditional lima brass, it features the revered Sipaho (Srid Pa Ho) protective chart – an ancient astrological symbol combining the Nine Palaces, Eight Trigrams, and the twelve zodiac animals, all woven together with the power of the female element of fire.

In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the Sipaho amulet serves as a powerful tool for protection and harmony. Its intricate design is believed to heighten awareness, shield the wearer from negative energies, and bring balance to the five elements.

The SIPAHO (Srid-pa-ho) is a wheel of protection based on traditional Tibetan calendar charts. Calendar charts are viewed as auspicious representations of natural cycles associated with stability, predictability, and regularity. The symbols they bear, all closely related to time, counteract the negative influence associated with planets, seasons, cosmic phenomena, and natural events and support stability and balance in nature and in human lives.
