This portable Gau shrine was handcrafted by Tibetan artisans from Hepo Township, Baiyu County.
Its theme is mani jewel, a treasure vase on a lotus base, inside the vase are mani jewels and other jewels. Each exquisite pattern on it is meticulously hand-carved,and it is embellished with the technique of gold inlay, with cold iron and pure silver inlaid on the red copper material and gold-plated on the pure silver material,inlaid with turquoise and agate bead. This technique is highly intricate and requires exceptional skill and patience. The interior space of the box is quite spacious,to store many sacred objects.
