10mm Bodhi Seed Beads Mala

This antique bodhi seed beads mala is about 50 years old,collected from Kathok monastery,hold and blessed by a lama.

It is composed of 108 bodhi seed beads, with 3 turquoise beads, silver spacer.

Details
Handmade 108 bodhi beads approximately 10mm,mala's perimeter is about 96cm,38 inches (48cm stretched).
3 × old turquoise beads, 11mm.
6 × silver spacer beads.

Malas are used all over by the Buddhists around the world especially they are used in Tibet, Nepal and India.
You will always see the monks as well as lay people using them while walking around the stupas or temples or monasteries.
A Mala is usually used for prostrations, counting mantras, Meditation and so on.
It is worn on left wrist while not in use.
