▶ WHAT IS Natal Buddhas
According to Tibetan Buddhist Culture, there is a Buddha or Bodhisattva to protect you upon birth. There is a corresponding Zodiac Protector for each Lunar Zodiac animal. The Zodiac Protector engages in His vows that whoever prays to the respective Zodiac Protector with faith would be blessed by Him. Each Zodiac Protector has a corresponding Zodiac General as guardian.

There were 8 Guardian Bodhisattva. Through the heavenly stems and earth branches, the twelve-linked causal formula and the mutual generation of five elements, namely earth, water, fire, air and wind, Tantric Buddhism points out that 12 zodiac signs are blessed by eight Bodhisattvas and Buddhas referred as eight natal Buddha or eight Buddhist guardian deities.

▶ ABOUT GAU SHRINE
A "Gau" or "Ghau" is a Tibetan Buddhist amulet container or prayer box, usually made of metal like silver, brass, copper or gold, and can be worn as jewellery if small enough. They are portable shrines that opens to a concealed inner space, and is traditionally used by Tibetan Buddhists to hold a picture of their favourite diety or Lama, a folded up scroll of sacred mantras, special herbs or sacred relics, and prayer flags.
