The Sound of Om: White Crystal Earrings of the Primordial
Share
These earrings feature the symbol ཨོ (Om), which is the initial letter of the six-syllable mantra and represents the gods. As the primordial sound of the universe, Om is the first sound ever emitted. An 18th-century work titled "Pure Land of Chenrezig," held in the Rubin Museum's collection, reflects this symbolism, as the six-syllable mantra itself represents the Pure Land of Guanyin. For the product design, a clear white crystal was selected, with the Tibetan letters ཨོཾ (Om) hand-carved onto its surface, offering a purifying and balancing effect.
